Asparagus Setaceus - The Lace Fern
Asparagus Setaceus is an elegant fern with long stems and lovely frond-like sprays that grow outwards horizontally.
They are bushy initially, developing long, twining stems of bright green, feathery fronds. Their delicate frond are where it gets the name Lace Fern from.
Although they look soft and frilly, they do develop thorns on their stems so watch for them when handling.
They love bright, indirect sunlight.
Direct sunlight may scorch the needles, whereas insufficient light may turn them yellow and cause them to drop.
Keep well-watered, but do not allow to stand in water. Less water is required during the winter but don’t let the soil dry out completely. Check the soil once a week and water if needed.
