Maranta Leuconeura - Herringbone Plant - Prayer Plant

Maranta Leuconeura are often referred to as Prayer Plants as they have the unusual characteristic of lying flat during the day and then closing upwards at night as if in prayer.
They grow best in bright light, but will tolerate shade. Always avoid direct sunlight.
Keep his soil moist at all times, but do not over-water or allow the plant to sit in soggy conditions as this will cause root rot. Watering with soft, lukewarm water is recommended.
He likes an average to warm temperature from 18-27°C but can cope with as low as 15°C but keep him away from cold draughts.
He also like a humid environment so mist with water frequently.
House Plant Problems:
If his leaves start to turn brown lit is a sign that the surrounding air is too dry.
